Adobe Lodge Services
Rib-eye night - an Adobe Lodge tradition

There is never an extra fee for what we provide.  Included on every Adobe Lodge Hunt you'll find:

  • Good food and plenty of it.  If you don't gain weight, we don't pay the cook.
  • Comfortable (but not fancy) lodging.  You'll find sheets and pillows on the bed, carpet on the floor, hot water in the shower, and we have plenty of towels.
  • Snacks, bottled water, soft drinks, candy or fruit to take to the field.
  • Airport pickup and return.  No need to rent a car.
  • Game processing.  Deer meat is wrapped and frozen for your trip home.
  • Deer are caped and the heads are put in a plastic bag and frozen.  We can provide you with a box to take the frozen head home, or we can arrange a visit with a local taxidermist.

Our Hunting:

  • Can be custom-tailored to the desires of each hunter.  Hunt  hard or easy - it's up to you.
  • Most of our blinds are 4 x 4 buildings on the ground with a comfortable chair.  We have several elevated blinds.  For those unable to walk much, we can usually get you to within just a few yards of a blind.
  • We have one guide for each two hunters.   In the morning, if you choose, you can be one-on-one with the guide for walking, stalking and rattling.  That afternoon, you hunt a blind while your hunting parter is with the guide.

Turkey Hunters:  after an orientation tour to learn the area you'll be hunting, and only if you are comfortable doing so, we allow you to use our vehicles to come and go, to move around as you wish.  We do not call the turkeys for you - that's your job.  But we get you started on where and how to hunt these Rio Grande birds, and we check with you throughout the day.  Some hunters return to the lodge for lunch and some take their lunch to stay out all day.  Turkey hunters are encouraged to "do their own thing".

Our policy is this:  we don't "nickle-and-dime" you once you're here.  We have duct tape, boxes, marking pens, extra film, a washer and dryer, etc. etc.  We want you to make yourself at home here at our camp.

The most frequent comment found on our post-hunt questionnaires is this one:

"Don't change a thing."
